Last update for January

This is my last new custom for a bit.  This semester looks to be a busy one.  I am not sure when the next new custom will get finished.

This is an RH-93Y "Resolute Hunter" probe droid from Arykyd.

From RH-93Y

I may re-work this one later to add some paint detailing to the lower half and some wear-and-tear to the body.  We will see what time allows.  Thanks for looking.

Why pay more?

Mandalorian?  Sure, you could hire one, but I'll do the job for half of what they charge.

Just another bounty hunter trying to make a living...

The Henchman

I guess the Beatles said it best when that sang, "All you need is thugs".  I might be paraphrasing a bit...
This next custom is a henchman - probably for some backwater Hutt.  I doubt he works on Tatooine for Jabba with all that black.  He must guard some other Hutt...maybe Ziro?

The Rodian Plot: Part Ten

The last character for this scenario is Wey Felwyr.  He and his business partner Wexsus are high-paid mercenaries with a reputation for getting the job done.  He is an expert marksman who strikes from a diestance.  Is he protecting the Rodian politicians or out to bring them down?

The Rodian Plot: Part Nine

So far, we have some terrorists, some politicians and a Mando'ade.  Now we add another variable--mercenaries.  Are they a separate protection team, part of the terrorist plot or free agents pursuing their own objectives?  First up is Wexsus Kasiri, the Sakiyan mercenary.  He is an operator that specializes in hard contact.

The Rodian Plot: Part Eight

So, if you were a wealthy politician and you felt someone was out to get you, who would you hire to protect you?  I know I would want the best.  I would hire a Mando'ade.  Cedess Wiles is your best bet when you absolutely want the best protection money can buy.

The Rodian Plot: Part Seven

Improvised Explosive Droid

RM-3D serves Nawat and is an unwitting accomplice in the plot.  He is sent on a mission to deliver a message to Reereeka and the Rodian Senatorial delegation.  Nawat tells the droid to ignore the capsules welded to his frame as they are merely decorative.

The Rodian Plot: Part Six

Something tells me this isn't going to work.

Next we have Boododoo.  A bold but not overly bright member of the Tetsu plot.

How is he going to hide those hands, much less stuff his head into that Clone Trooper bucket?

The Rodian Plot: Part Five

Nawat is the leader of the Tetsu Clan team sent to  attack the Rodian delegation to the Republic Senate.  If they succeed, they could shift the balance of power on Rodia.  They could also be pawns in a political game by the Chattza Clan.

The Rodian Plot: Part Four

Rodian society is divided by clans.  The Chattza Clan is the dominant segment of Rodian society.  Keeto is a member of the despised Tetsu Clan.  He and his fellow clan members struggle for power and autonomy on Rodia. Keeto is part of a group that aspires to make the Tetsu Clan the dominant group on Rodia.  Are he and his co-conspirators pawns or are they revolutionaries struggling against the Chattza Clan hegemony?

Here we see Keeto carrying a n explosive device to be used against the Chattza Clan representatives to the Republic Senate.

Special thanks has to go to Marauder for quickly processing my last order.  I couldn't have finished this custom without the tactical vests.  If you haven't visited their site, do yourself a favor and go get some guns.

The Rodian Plot: Part Three

Part three introduces us to Pwiqui Beebis, consular agent and assistant to Reereeka.  Is she the loyal assistant or a backstabbing opportunist?

The Rodian Plot: Part Two

The second post introduces us to Reereeka, the Chattza Clan representative to the Republic Senate.  She is the primary target of the plot.  Will she survive or become a victim of the machinations of rivals and of the terrorists?

The Rodian Plot: Part One

OK, I don't have the computer skills to make a photo novel.  However, the next series of customs are all involved in a storyline about an assassination plot involving a Rodian delegation to the Republic Senate.  It takes place just before the events of Revenge of the Sith.

This post introduces us to one of the three Rodian politicians at the center of the plot.  Is he a target or part of the conspiracy?  Is he a collaborator with the terrorists?  As a Chattza Clan Representative to the Senate, his goal is to retain and increase his power.  How far will he go toward this aim?  Is he a part of the plot?

Sith Guard

Every would-be Sith needs a henchman.  This one guards Talus Vir.  Again, mostly Joe parts but I think it turned out pretty well.

Talus Vir Redux

This is a revised version of this character.  Unfortunately, I had to sacrifice the original figure to make this new version.  The head and the "belt" section of the torso were saved to be used in the new version.  I then cut a G. I Joe lower torso in half and attached both portions to the belt section.  I think the legs and arms are from Snake Eyes while the upper torso is from Storm Shadow.

And here is the original version for comparison.

Same as the last one but with a different head and standard Rebel blaster.

Rebel Commando Grenadier

This one actually took a good deal of work.  The lower torso and legs come from a G.I. Joe Duke figure while the upper torso and arms come from Dusty.  Then there are some actual Rebel Commando parts used for accessories.

Bith Hipster

I guess I have to give Jin Saotome credit for inspiring this custom.  He used the same pants on one of his customs way back when.  Seeing that figure inspired to use the same parts for this Bith.   Here is his website.  I've been working on this Bith for a long time.  The figure comes from G. I. Joe: Rise of Cobra parts so I know it has been cooking for about two years.  I picture this guy hanging out in the Outlander Club.

Stay off the death sticks, kids.

Imperial Stormtrooper Grenadier

I don't make too many clone or stormtrooper customs.  This is my version of an Imperial Stormtrooper Plasma Grenadier.  He has a holster for an E-11.  This one has been on the back burner for months.  It is good to finish it even if it is a simplified version from what I originally intended.

Sergeant Merril

This should be  the last head swap for a while.  Then again, this isn't really a head swap.  It is a repaint.  This is my fourth Bespin Wing Guard custom.  It is my version of Sergeant Merril.  Now, maybe Hasbro will issue the official version.

Cloud Car Pilot minus moustache

This one isn't really a head swap.  All I did was remove the moustache and paint over the upper lip.  I am not 100% satisfied with this one.  I may re-sculpt the upper lip...  Maybe Hasbro will issue a new head on this figure some day.

Rebel Honor Guard

And another head swap.  This time, I actually painted the head which I purchased from Slayer Design Studio.  And of course, I used the cap from the current Rebel Fleet Trooper.

Dusty McAircrew

Another head swap.  Again, this is simple stuff but I am trying to add to my troops.  The head required just a bit of dremel work.  It is a re-paint of the Dusty figure from G.I. Joe.

Day Two

Here is another simple custom that is basically just a head swap.  Sure, I had to repaint the neck post to match the head but otherwise it was pretty simple.  The head is from a Forces of Valor figure.  This is a simple custom but I like it a lot because it adds a little diversity to my Rebel troops.

The Veteran

Happy 2012!

I'll start off the new year with a "no-work" custom.  This is a simple head swap using the Hoth Rebel Soldier head on the Rebel Commando body.  Who hasn't done this simple custom?  I don't think I even had to dremel the head.  So, my concept is that this guy is a veteran of the Battle of Hoth and now serving as a Rebel Commando.  Hey, whatever it takes to get more troops, right?
